The Birth Space of Light

In the very beginning there was light. Whether it appeared as a spark or an eruption of flames, its creation is the greatest mystery of all. No matter what one believes in, the existence of light as a source of eternal brightness cannot be matched by anything else.

The sun as a star in the solar system of earth, containing immense, sustainable light, demonstrates our spatial relationship with the phenomenon of the light source energy. Existing at a distance - visible but barely within reach, its power provides the most vital and reliable source of energy to support our existence. The area’s remoteness suggests access through a doorway, such as via death, or with the help of an etherical guide. By maintaining an extraordinary belief that a space containing immense possibilities is astonishingly exclusive narrows its usefulness, and denies hope for accessing its contents through a daily ritual of building a pathway towards it ourselves. As an expansive region, I personally imagine light to exist as an entire realm that contains the magical alchemy for creation, and believe we contain the hidden keys to unlock this access gateway without realising.

Because of its unmatched beauty, light can be understood as a metaphorical space for rebirth, regenerating itself through the process of continual formation and destruction. As humans on earth, we understand this experience firsthand through the life-death-life cycle of our existence. Light enters the human body through an original spark of aliveness at birth, before eventually fading away against the dying light of a terminally ill patient. The dynamic fluctuation of opposing forces in balance during conception and death, suggests that we share the fundamental blueprint for the creation of light within our cells, able to multiply and expand its force simply through a desire for experimentation.

Light is also a source of endless creativity and imagination. To solve an unfathomable problem we must become creative, experiencing light’s transformational power through the gradual but deliberate expansion and contraction of forces inherent in the creative process. We begin with an idea, test its suitability, and if we recognise its failure, commence another venture. Whenever we experience a failure or disappointment, we access a small portion of light source energy to illuminate an innovation. The cycle illustrates the balances of unseen forces needed to compact and pressurise a sensation of energy until it is ready to burst forth and awaken as something new, harnessing the power of determination to regain momentum after each setback.

As a space light is patient, with small, seemingly insignificant details able to create perfection in the entirety. The glow worm reminds us to value this transient element, for the beetle contains a formula for producing light. Found in its natural habitat of a sheltered, damp cave, glow worms require darkness for expression, producing a soft iridescent glow from within themselves in reaction to their secreted chemicals and the oxygen in the air. Their glow is used to attract flying insects for food, and they can control their luminosity for protection by reducing the amount of light to their light organ. The glow worms fascinating abilities when fused with man’s imagination (or rather Thomas Edison and his group of researcher’s imaginations,) mean we have also become capable of producing physical light. Unlike the glow worm, we do not yet understand how to produce long-lasting light without heat. Something so fundamental to our modern existence still contains opportunity for future development and discovery.

The birth space of light understands the vast expansiveness of our greatest potentials. To contain this light within us defeats the purpose of gaining this gift, for it is through one’s actions of creation that this valuable and precious spark can light the way for someone else’s’ path. With conviction, it is possible to overcome the limiting conditioning of others and trust in the certainty of one’s inner light to guide the way. Whenever we acknowledge our unique creative capabilities, the unlimited possibilities in the birth space of light generates and refills the creator’s inherent light and personal power from the inside out.

This corporeality of light certainly spins the spatial dimension of light on its head.
